2. Information we collect
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, project description, budget range, and correspondence. The website form creates a draft in your own email application; it does not send or store your entries on this website.
The hosting infrastructure may record technical server logs, including IP address, request time, requested URL, browser user agent, and response status. We do not ask you to send sensitive personal information.
3. Why we use information
We use inquiry information to respond, assess a potential engagement, prepare proposals, and communicate about services. Where an engagement follows, we use necessary information to deliver it and maintain business records. Technical logs support security, troubleshooting, and reliable operation.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and securing this website. We consider those interests against your rights. If processing requires consent, we request it separately; you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing.
5. Cookies and technical storage
This website does not set analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. Its application code does not use browser storage or set cookies. Strictly necessary technical storage may be used by infrastructure to provide or secure a request. Read our Cookie Policy for more detail.
6. Service providers and disclosures
Website hosting and email service providers may process technical information or correspondence to operate their services. We share information only as needed for these purposes, for agreed project delivery, or to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside Ukraine. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards. Contact us for details relevant to your inquiry.
7. Retention and security
We apply the following retention schedule, unless a legal obligation or documented dispute requires longer retention:
- Unsuccessful inquiries and proposals: delete or anonymize within 12 months of the last substantive contact.
- Project correspondence and handover records: retain through delivery and agreed support, then review annually and delete when no longer needed for contractual or dispute purposes.
- Contracts, invoices, and accounting records: retain for the mandatory period applicable to that record; restrict use to accounting, compliance, and legal claims, then delete when that period and any legal hold end.
- Technical logs under our control: delete or rotate within 30 days, except records isolated for an active security investigation. Infrastructure-provider logs follow the provider’s retention settings.
- Privacy requests: retain the request and response for up to 3 years after resolution to document how it was handled; remove identity-verification copies once verification is complete.
We use access controls appropriate to the information. No email or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us for the retention deadline and legal basis for a specific record.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law and its conditions, you may exercise the following rights:
- Access: Ask whether we process your information and request a copy.
- Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure: Ask us to delete information when there is no longer a lawful reason to retain it.
- Restriction: Ask us to limit processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved.
- Portability: Where applicable, receive information you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and ask for transfer to another controller.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, based on your circumstances.
- Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent at any time where it is the basis for processing, without affecting prior lawful processing.
You may complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Ukraine’s data protection authority, or your local supervisory authority where applicable. You do not need to contact us first to make a complaint.
Email hello@buildwithme.store to exercise a right. We may request proportionate identity verification and will respond within the period required by applicable law. If an exception prevents us from granting a request, we explain the reason and available complaint options.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our activities or legal requirements. The effective date identifies the current version. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@buildwithme.store.
